ABOUT ME

HELLO! NICE TO MEET YOU.

Who am I?

My name is Rebeca Arens, and I'm a learning designer currently based in New York City. I've got a background in education and language studies, with a focus on creating engaging, interactive online learning experiences to support students in new and exciting ways.

I'm passionate, driven, and ready to work together to overcome challenges.

What's my story?

For the past five years, I've worked as a teacher in Spain, the U.S., and Korea. During my time teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic, I found myself examining the usability and design of online programs that my students were using--first to help them understand how to use it, then out of my own curiosity. After my contract ended, I turned my attention to educational technology, heading off to New York University to study Learning Technology & Experience Design--and now I'm here to combine my experience with creativity and empathy to explore the new opportunities in the learning world.
